BJP MLA Radharani Panda complains to Speaker against Raja Swain

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Brajarajnagar, Radharani Panda, has complained to Odisha Assembly Speaker Niranjan Pujari against Athgarh MLA Ranendra Pratap Swain alias Raja Swain for his ‘Radhe Maa’ remark against her.

Radharani Panda took strong exception to the remarks made by Raja Swain inside the Assembly, which gave further ammunition to other BJD MLAs, who mocked Ms Panda. They forgot how to behave with a woman, that to a Lawmaker. Radharani Panda also levelled allegations against Barabati-Cuttack MLA Debasish Samantaray on the same issue.

This is not for the first time Radharani Panda was subjected to such humiliation and insult by the ruling party members. During the last Assembly session, she was abused by Agriculture Minister Pradeep Maharathy, who later apologised for his remark.
