BJP targets 3 Odisha Cities to launch PM’s Schemes on May 9

Dharmendra Pradhan on Gas PriceThe Bharatiya Janata Party is leaving no stones unturned to make its presence felt in Odisha. It has selected three cities in the state to launch the Prime Minister’s ambitious insurance schemes for poor and common people.

Three Union Ministers will be in three cities in Odisha to launch Atal Pension Yojna (APY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) tomorrow.

Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram will launch these schemes in Sambalpur, while Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will be in Bhubaneswar to launch the populist schemes. Similarly, Union Tourism and Culture Minister Dr. Mahesh Sharma will launch these schemes in Berhampur.

Under Atal Pension Yojana (APY), subscribers would receive a fixed minimum pension of Rs. 1000 per month, Rs. 2000 per month, Rs. 3000 per month, Rs. 4000 per month, Rs. 5000 per month, at the age of 60 years, depending on their contributions. The minimum age of joining APY is 18 years and maximum age is 40 years.

Under PMJJBY, annual life insurance of Rs 2 lakh would be offered on the payment of premium of Rs. 330 per annum. It will be made available to people in the age group of 18 to 50 years having a savings bank account.

Under PMSBY, the beneficiaries will get Rs 2 lakh for accidental death and full disability and Rs 1 lakh for partial disability. The Scheme will be available to people in the age group 18 to 70 years with a bank account.
