BMC issues ‘Red Corner Notice’ to 284 entities for Rs 9cr tax default

ONI Bureau: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday issued a red corner notice to 284 entities for defaulting an amount of Rs 9 crores tax.

As per the notice, BMC shall take action against the defaulters, if they are not paying the demand amount of holding tax by March 31.

It may be mentioned here that, Rs 2.52 crore has been defaulted by city-based Apex Engineering College, Pahala while the lowest belongs to Rs 10,016 from a house of Ashok Bhagat of Rudrapur.
