BrahMos supersonic missile successfully test-fired from ITR, Chandipur

ONI Bureau: Brahmos, the world’s fastest and India’s indigeneously developed surface-to-surace supersonic cruise missile successfully test-fired at 10:18 AM today morning from the Chandipur Test Range launch pad no -3 off the Odisha coast in Balasore.

The test was conducted in order to increase the longevity of its life.  The previous test firing of the missile was conducted on 21st May when it was launched from a mobile launcher under life extension program.

BrahMos is the first Indian missile whose life has been extended from 10 to 15 years.
