BSF Jawans seize huge cache of explosives in Odisha’s Malkangiri

Bhubaneswar, Nov 20: The Border Security Forces (BSF) jawans seized huge volume of explosive materials in Malkangiri district on Friday during combing operations.

The security forces conducted combing operation at Mediguda forest areas near Motu village in the district. During their combing operation, they seized huge volume of explosives including three kg tiffin bomb, gelatin sticks, two detonators and other material from a Maoists camp.

As per reports, during the combing operation in the forest Maoists opened firing at the security offices in the forest are near to their camp. BSF jawans too retaliated to their firing that lasted for couple of hours.

There were no reports of any causality in the exchange of fire between BSF jawans and red rebels. After huge exchange of fire Maoists fled from there leaving their materials at the camp.

In another incident, COBRA battalion jawans and Chhattisgarh police encountered two Maoists cadres nearby Beji forest area located in neighboring Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district.
