Bus plunges into Mahanadi river in Nayagarh,12 injured

As many as 12 passengers got injured after a  bus named ‘Mahalaxmi’ plunged into river Mahanadi near Dankari Sahi under Gania block in Nayagarh district on Thursday morning.

The driver had reportedly lost control over the wheels following which the bus fell into the river.

The injured persons were admitted to Gania hospital for treatment. Later, five of them were shifted to the Nayagarh District Headquarters Hospital as their condition deteriorated.

The bus was on its daily route from Jhamundia to Kural.
