Camp Courts: 350 under-trial Prisoners granted bail on 1st Day

ONI Bureau:  As many as 350 under trial prisoners (UTPs) were today granted bail and 270 released on the first day of camp court held at various Circle, District and Sub-Jails across Odisha today.

As per report, Kendrapara jail with highest 157 granted bails today. Similarly, 58 accused in Choudwar, 29 accused from Karanjia, 9 from Barbil jails, 8 from from Jagatsinghpur, 7 from Rairangpur jail, 4 each from Anandapur and Champua jails were granted bails through camp courts.

Kudos to the Orissa High Court that had directed all the district judges to hold camp courts inside the jail premises after jails became overcrowded across the state due to the ongoing agitation of the lawyers.
