CBI grills UT Mirror Editor Santosh Pandey

UT-MirrorJournalist Santosh Pandey, who has received around Rs 27 lakh from the Seashore Group towards advertisement for the Mumbai-based magazine UT Mirror between 2011 and 2013, was interrogated by the CBI for around five hours today.

Santosh Pandey, who is seen as a cunning person in the media circle, is the owner and Editor of English Fortnightly magazine, UT Mirror. The magazine is being published in seven Indian cities and has been fully active in Odisha since 2011. The magazine mainly focused on the mining sector and chit fund companies and received huge advertisements from them.

Since Seashore Group is the major beneficiary in the multi-crore chit fund scam in Odisha, Santosh Pandey has come under the scanner for receiving huge amount of money, which is far greater than the actual advertisement rates for a Fortnightly Magazine.
