CBI Team arrives in Bhubaneswar to review Chift Fund Scam Probe

Bhubaneswar, Sep 22: Top officials of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have arrived here today to review the progress of multi-crore chit fund scams in Odisha. According to reports, Joint Director of CBI Rajiv Singh and DIG S Bagchi arrived to interrogate arrested officials of Rose Valley Chit Fund Company.

They will also take stock of the ongoing investigation into chit fund scams in the state.  Rose Valley Managing Director (MD) Shivamaya Dutta and Director Ashok Kumar Shah were brought from Kolkata to here for interrogation over their involvement in the scam.

It is noteworthy that, to probe the multi-crore chit fund scam a Special Investigation Team was formed by the Odisha Unit of Central Bureau of Investigation.  Many investors were duped by several chit fund companies in Odisha.
