CCEA approves Four Laning of Cuttack-Angul NH-42 @ Rs 1575 Cr

Cuttack-Angul NH-42New Delhi/Bhubaneswar, Sep 22: In an endeavor to boost infrastructure and industrial activity development in Odisha, the Union Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved expansion of Cuttack-Angul NH-42.

As per the decision taken at the cabinet meeting on Tuesday in New Delhi, the government approved four-laning the NH-42 between Cuttack and Angul in Odisha. The CCEA has approved an outlay of Rs 1,575.38 crore for the project.

In a statement, the government said that the expansion of the national highway between Cuttack and Angul would strengthen infrastructure in Odisha and it would also boost the industrial activity in the state.

“Bids have been invited on the basis of provisions of the model concession agreement subject to such changes as accepted by the PPPAC. Maximum grant from the Government for Viability Gap Funding (VGF) would be 40 per cent of the TPC,” the statement added.
