Centre refuses to form Tribunal on Mahanadi River Dispute

ONI Bureau: In a major setback to Odisha, the Centre on Wednesday filed affidavit before the Supreme Court refusing to form tribunal to resolve the Mahanadi water row between Odisha and Chhattisgarh.

Despite Odisha Government’s repeated demand for formation of a tribunal, the Centre said in an affidavit that the Odisha government did not provide required information, therefor, there is no need to form a tribunal.
