Chhattisgarh did not inform Odisha on Kelo Project: Chief Secretary

Odisha Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi rubbished the reports published in a section of media in Odisha, saying Chhattisgarh Government never intimated the Odisha Government while building the Kelo Project on Mahanadi River.

“We received no letter from the Chhattisgarh Government. Even, Odisha was not invited to the CWC meet in January 2009 when the Kelo project was approved,” said Mr. Padhi while addressing the press meet on Mahanadi row.

Earlier, the Chhattisgarh Government had claimed that they had intimated the Odisha Govt in 2008 through a letter, but the latter did not respond. As Union MoS Sanjeev Balyan stated this in Lok Sabha, the BJD has already moved a privilege motion against the Minister.
