Child Rights Commission suspects SCB staff’s involvement over Newborn Theft

The Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR) on Saturday claimed that, it may be hospital staff or some persons close to the hospital have stolen the newborn  baby from Special Newborn Care Unit at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

It is to be noted that, few days ago a destitute woman has delivered to a girl child in SCB Medical.

In this connection, Chairman of OSCPCR Kasturi Mohapatra has stressed on installation of CCTV cameras within SCB Medical premises to avoid any untoward incident in future.
