Chit Fund Panel submits 2nd Interim Report today

Justice MM Das Commission, probing into the multi crore chit fund scam in Odisha, submitted its second interim report to the State Home Department on Friday.

Secretary of the Commission Debraj Rout said to media persons that the panel has screened 61,212 affidavits and 1,124 depositors have been refunded till date.

Reportedly, the inquiry panel had submitted its first interim report in May 2016.

So far, the Commission has identified 174 Ponzi firms, which have duped investors in Odisha.
