Chit Fund Scam: BJD MP Rabindra Jena seeks Anticipatory Bail

A day after the CBI raided residences of BJD Balasore MP Rabindra Jena in connection with Seashore Chit Fund Scam, Jena moved the Orissa High Court on Friday seeking anticipatory bail.

Notably, on Thursday CBI raided at offices, residences of MP Rabindra Jena along with BJD MLA Pravat Biswal and party leader Saroj Sahu in multi-crore Scam.

BJD Lok Sabha MP from Mayurbhanj, Ramachandra Hansda was earlier arrested by the CBI. Jena is the second BJD MP to be interrogated by CBI in the chit fund scam.

It is to be noted that Jena was summoned for personal appearance before the CBI by yesterday did not appeared citing health reasons, later detained by CBI on Thursday night.
