Civic Body Polls: Odisha to complete Delimitation by April 30

ONI Bureau: Extending the deadline for delimitation of Wards for Urban Body polls in Odisha, the Election Commission asked the state government to take all necessary steps to complete the process by April 30, 2018. The Government has asked the Collectors to take necessary steps in this regard.

The earlier deadline was till January 2018, which was issued in October 2017. The delimitation as well as reservation process will begin from February 15, as the proposals will be received. After following the process, the final list would be notified on March 8, 2018.

Complaints of any discrepancies or deviation in the final report, will be accepted between March 9 and March 23. Hearing will take place on those complaints from March 26 and April 25.
