CM launches Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme for farmers on Akshaya Tritiya

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched a ‘Direct Benefit Transfer’ scheme at the state level Krushak Divas programme on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Trutiya on Monday.

With this scheme, the famers will get themselves registered online to purchase seeds and get the subsidy amount in their bank accounts directly.

Chief Minister interacted with farmers and said that the state government has given priority to agriculture development so a special agriculture budget has been introduced.

From today, farmers begin their agricultural activities as ploughing, sowing seeds with an akhi muthi in land.
