Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced a Rs 5 crore aid relief for quake-ravaged Nepal to be used in relief and rehabilitation. The Odisha Government also sent three senior officials of the Odisha State Disaster Mitigation Authority (OSDMA) to assist in the relief and restoration work in Nepal.
The Odisha Government is making all efforts to bring back Odia people stranded in Nepal. At least 20 people returned from Nepal today. The Special Resident Commissioner of Odisha in Delhi is in touch with the concerned authorities to ensure safe return of the Odia people.
The Chief Minister has hoped that situation would return to normalcy in Nepal soon.
