CM Naveen Patnaik, Union Minister Smriti Irani campaign for Bijepur Bypoll

ONI Bureau:  As a show of strength between BJD & BJP in Bijepur Bypoll, the star campaigners like BJD supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union Minister Smriti Irani addressed public meetings in the Bijepur assembly constituency on Tuesday.

BJD supremo sought votes for Rita Sahu in a public meeting at Badgaon in Barpali for the Bijepur Assembly constituency.

In his address, Naveen Patnaik tried to motivate people by greeting them with western Odisha’s most popular word ‘Juhar’ and paid rich tributes to poet Gangadhar Meher as well as noted freedom fighter Bhagarathi Patnaik.

While addressing at the public meeting the CM assured the public that Bijepur’s development is his personal responsibility. The CM appeals the locals to cast votes in favour of Rita Sahu for the larger interests of Bijepur.

Meantime, the Union Minister Smriti Irani hit the campaign trail today for BJP candidate Ashok Panigarhi.

While addressing at by-poll bound Bijepur, Smriti Irani said, Bijepur Bypoll is not the election for Ashok Panigrahi alone, it is the election of women who want development & give their children better education. She further stated that Lotus will bring the seeds of development at your home.
