Commemorative Stamp & Coin on 200 Years of Paika Rebellion

ONI Bureau: The Union Culture Ministry of the Central Government, has decided to launch commemorative stamp and coin to mark the 200 years of historic Paika Rebellion or Paika Bidroha in Odisha.

The decision was taken by the committee formed to celebrate the bicentenary of India’s first freedom struggle. The Culture department has sought designs from various sources for the stamp and coin.

Union P&NG and SD&E Minister Dharrmendra Pradhan who has been making all efforts to give national recognition to Paika Rebellion, confirmed this development.
