Commuters hit as buses stay off roads in Odisha

ONI Bureau:  Normal life was affected across the State as nearly 17,000 private buses stayed off roads as the All Odisha Private Bus Owners’ Association (AOPBOA) has called for indefinite state-wide strike following fulfillment of their 6 charters of demand.

The private bus owners’ association is observing the strike demanding toll exemption and protesting the State Government’s decision to ply nearly 300 new city buses on long routes.
