Congress, BJP and BJD name candidates for CMC By-poll

The BJD on Tuesday announced Tulasi Behera as their candidate for the by-poll in Ward No-21 of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) scheduled on June 3.

Notably, on Monday Congress and BJP have already announced candidates for the by-poll in Ward No-21.

Congress announced Gouri Das, a practicing lawyer of the Orissa High Court, as its candidate, while the BJP has named Padmini Behera.

Filling of nomination began from May 16. Verification of nominations will be on May 20 and withdrawal of nominations on May 23.
