Congress, BJP set to join hands in Nabarangpur to form Zilla Parishad

Nabarangpur-OdishaPolitics makes strange bedfellows. And, it’s coming true in Nabarangpur district. As per the confirmed reports, bitter rivals Congress and BJP have joined hands to stop BJD from capturing the Zilla Parishad there.

Out of 26 Zilla Parishad Zones in the district, BJD won 11, followed by Congress (8) and BJP (7). As the magic figure remains 14, it’s not possible to form the ZP without any alliance.

Both Congress and BJP see BJD as their common enemy. If we believe Congress leader Pradeep Majhi, who led the party’s campaign in Nabarangpur, they always enjoyed good rapport with local BJP leaders as well leaders from Chhattisgarh.

“As we share the common goal of overthrowing Naveen Patnaik, we are definitely going to make all efforts to stop BJD and capture the Zilla Parishad here”, said Pradeep.
