Congress Leaders demonstrate in Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur, Nov 12: Congress members under the leadership of former Congress MP of Nabarangpur, Pradeep Majhi demonstrated here on Thursday. More than one thousand famers of undivided Koraput district have participated in the demonstration.

Speaking on the occasion, Pradeep Majhi lampooned the state government for its anti-farmers policies. He also blamed the state government for farmers’ suicide in the state.

Protesting there, Majhi demanded the state government to provide adequate compensation to the families of the farmers those committed suicide. He also demanded the state government to provide compensation to drought-hit farmers in the district.

Kotpad MLA Chandrasekhar Majhi was also attended the demonstration. He also demanded the state government to safeguard the interest of drought-hit farmers. He termed the state government as anti-farmers as farmers have been suffering the state. Besides other Congress leaders, MLA Bhujabal Majhi was also attended the demonstration.
