Congress Maha Milan Utshav : Ex-Congress leaders return to party fold in Odisha

Several former Congress leaders and activists in Odisha, who had left the party over various issues, returned to the party fold at a special function- “Congress Maha Milan Utshav”- in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.

The former Congress veterans returned to the party fold in  the presence of AICC in-charge for the State Jitendra Singh and newly appointed OPCC President Niranjan Patnaik.

Ex-MP Kartikeswar Rout, Former Ministers Saraswati Hembram and Haladhar Karjee, senior leaders Arya Kumar Gyanendra, Ashok Samal, Vivekananda Patra were among others who joined the Congress party today.

Patnaik had recently appealed all the former leaders of Congress to come back to the grand old party with a view to strengthen the party for the best interest of the state and the nation in the days ahead.

Besides Patnaik, senior party leaders and office bearers of state unit of Congress Hemananda Biswal, Bhakta Das, Pradeep Majhi and hundreds of Congress workers were present on the occasion.
