Congress observes 12-hour Chitrakonda bandh over Land Rights issue

ONI Bureau:  Congress activists including Malkangiri District Congress Committee has observed a 12-hour Chitrakonda bandh today over fulfillment of their six-point charter of demands including distribution of land records to landless people and land rights to forest dwellers in the area.

Protesting on various issues, former Nabarangpur MP and Congress leader Pradeep Majhi said the students are deprived of education due to delay in issuing caste certificates.

Normal life in the block have disrupted. While shops and establishments remained closed in most areas, movement of vehicular traffic too remained disrupted in many places.
