Congress protests Bapi Sarkhel’s arrest, holds Road Blockade in Jagatsinghpur

Protesting the arrest of party leader Bapi Sarkhel, the congress workers on Saturday staged a road blockade at Kujanga in Jagatsinghpur district. The blockade was withdrawn after intervention of police.

Apart from this, the Congress SC Cell also staged Rasta Roko on the Cuttack-Pradip road. The party members staged road block by burning tyres. Vehicular movement has been disrupted and communications hit due to road block in several places.

Notably, the Odisha Police on Friday issued a Look out circular against Congress leader Bapi Sarkhel and arrested him following the murder of Seaways Shipping & Logistics Company General Manager Mahendra Swain.
