Congress protests in Bhubaneswar against suspension of 25 LS MPs

Odisha-Congress-ProtestThe Congress workers in Odisha clashed with the policemen at lower PMG Square while trying to enter the Odisha Assembly by breaking the barricades. They were protesting against the Lok Sabha Speaker’s decision to suspend 25 Congress MPs from Lok Sabha yesterday.

Hundreds of Congress workers led by PCC President Prasad Harichandan and other top leaders started from the Congress Bhawan and marched towards the Assembly. They shouted slogans against the Modi Government and Lok Sabha Speaker and showed placards.

The cadres also burnt the effigy of PM Narendra Modi. The cops stopped them when they tried to enter the break the barricades, resulting in a minor scuffle. The Congress workers did not create a scene and left the venue soon after. No arrest was made in this case.
