Construction Workers Get Hikes In Old Age Pension And Other Aids

The monthly old-age pension and other financial assistance offered to senior construction workers in the state have been revised by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday.
Senior construction workers will now get a monthly pension of Rs 500 from the existing Rs 300 and workers above the age of 80 years will get Rs 700 from existing Rs 500. The financial aids of construction workers for marriage and death under the Construction Workers Welfare Scheme have also been increased by the State Government.

Those workers who are above 60 years of age and registered with the Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board are entitled to pension and other benefits in the state, currently.
