COVID19: Pay More For Not Wearing Masks in Odisha

Now pay more if you default on face masks in Odisha. To curb the rising COVID-19 infections in the state, Odisha Government has issued strict implementation of safety protocols.

Those violating the face mask norms for the first two times have to pay Rs 2000 as fine. Repeated offenders will need to pay Rs 5000 for violation.

Earlier, the fine was Rs 1000 for first two violations. Subsequent violations were charged Rs 5000.

The doubling of fine has been done to ensure people don’t flout the safety norms.
