Crime Branch arrested Four in Astarang Murder Case

Astaranga policeAstarang, Oct 9: The sleuths of Odisha Crime Branch arrested four people in connection with the murder of four members of a family here on Thursday. The team had arrived here yesterday for the second round of investigation into the ghastly murder of retired district inspector of schools and his family members.

According to the police, the team arrested four people in the case including close relatives of the deceased.  On September 22, Dinabandhu Mallick, district inspector of schools, his wife and two minor daughters were murdered at the village Dinadiyan under Astarang police jurisdiction. The state government had order for Crime Branch probe into the murder following protest of the villager demanding quick investigation and action in the case.
