CRPF, Police kill Three Maoists on Odisha-Chhattisgarh Border

Dantewada-MaoistsMalkangiri, Nov 3: In a joint operation against Maoists, the jawans of CRPF and Chhattisgarh police killed three Maoists on Tuesday afternoon on Odisha- Chhattisgarh border. As per reports, the CRPF jawans and Chhattisgarh police attacked on a Maoists camp in forest areas near Arlampalli, located at a distance of 20 km from Padia in the district.

They started operation after getting a tip-off from informers about Maoists’ hide-out in the forest area. The Maoists started firing at the forces, in return forces too stared retaliation. The exchange of fire lasted for several hours, in which three Maoists were killed and rest injured Maoists fled. However, the police could not establish the identification of three killed Maoists in the encounter, till this report is filed. Forces seized huge cache of arms from their possession.
