Custodial death in Sambalpur; Congress to stage dharna at Jantar Mantar

ONI Bureau: Protesting against the custodial death of a youth who hanged himself inside the lockup at Ainthapali police station in Sambalpur district, Odisha congress likely to stage demonstration at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on February 25.

It has also decided that they will meet the President of India Ram Nath Kovind and submit a memorandum over the matter on February 29 or 30.

Congress leaders including Congress MP from Nabarangpur Pradeep Majhi demands probe into the custodial death by a sitting judge of Orissa High Court with Rs 30 lakh ex-gratia to the kin of the deceased youth.
