CWG 2018: Four from Odisha in Indian Women’s Hockey Squad

ONI Bureau:  Four women hockey players from Odisha found place in the Indian Women’s hockey team for the upcoming Commonwealth Games to be held in Gold Coast, Australia from April 4 to April 15.

While. striker Rani Rampal will lead the Indian women hockey’s 18-member squad at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Deep Grace Ekka, Namita Toppo, Lilima Minz and Sunita Lakra of Odisha has been selected for the squad.

The Indian team is grouped in ‘Pool A’ along with Malaysia, England, South Africa and Wales. India will begin their campaign on 5 April against Wales.

Worth mentioning, Odisha’s Amit Rohidas is the lone Odia player has been selected in Indian Men’s Hockey team for Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
