Cyber Forensic Division inaugurated in Odisha

Insight Bureau:  The Odisha Director General of Police R P Sharma on Wednesday inaugurated the Cyber Forensic Division at the State Forensic Laboratory in Bhubaneswar in presence of the senior police officers of the State.

In view of rising cyber crime cases in Odisha, the State Crime Branch had planned to set up a Cyber Forensic Division at the State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL).

The division has been equipped with latest equipment and software worth Rs 1 crore. Two scientific officers, who have undergone training at various institutes including Central Forensic Science Laboratories, have been appointed in the division, the DGP said.
