Cyclone Titli Aftermath: Agricultural Input subsidy for farmers in Odisha soon

ONI Bureau:  In a big relief, the Joint Commissioner of Relief Pravat Ranjan Mohapatra on Friday informed that input subsidy will be given to Cyclone affected farmers of 17 districts in Odisha soon.

On the basis of Agriculture department & Collectors’ reports, subsidy of Rs 13,500 per hectare for irrigated and Rs 6,800 for non-irrigated land will be given, said the Joint Relief Commissioner.

In this regard, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Bishnupada Sethi has directed all Cyclone affected district Collectors and the Agriculture department to conduct field inspection and submit reports soon.

Earlier, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Bishnupada Sethi said that while damage estimation due to Cyclone Titli increased to Rs 2,765 crore, 2.63 Lakh hectare crop damaged due to Cyclone Titli related incidents in the State.
