Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, on Wednesday, convened a review meeting with Chief Secretary and Special Relief Commissioner to ascertain the situation post Cyclone Yaas.
After the meeting, Chief Minister announced seven-days relief for all families of 128 marooned villages in the cyclone affected districts.
Major roads which have been damaged are expected to be restored for commuting in the next 24 hours.
Around 80 per cent of electric supply in affected districts will be restored in the next 24 hours.
During the Cyclone Yaas review, the Chief Minister congratulated all the Panchayat representatives, dist administration, community organisations and police for their work. He also thanked the doctors and health workers for providing continuous health service in the affected districts.
