DDM IT Quiz organized by Mindfire Solutions concluded
The 5th edition of a National Level Mega Quiz named Debasish Das Memorial IT Quiz (DDM IT Quiz) was organized today by Mindfire Solutions in a local hotel at Bhubaneswar. More than 300 teams (each having 2 students) from various Engineering and Management institutes across India battled it out for supremacy at DDM IT Quiz which provides an excellent platform for quizzing enthusiasts to participate and compete with some of the sharpest minds in their fraternity. Mindfire Solutions, being India’s premier IT Services Company in the SMB space, has organized it successfully for the 5th time in a row.
This quizzing event is meant for students pursuing Technical and Management education across India. This quizzing event was based on the theme of Information Technology and is named after Late Debasish Das- one of the brightest minds and finest human beings to have worked with Mindfire Solutions.More than 300 teams participated in this event and the best part is that many of these groups were from different parts of the country like, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, New Delhi, West Bengal, Uttaranchal and Odisha. The students were form premier institutes like IITs, NITs, IIMs, BITS, XIMB and other engineering colleges form Odisha like, KIIT, NIST, OEC, ITER, CET, Silicon, KISD etc.
The winners of preliminary & final round of the contest were awarded with trophies, certificates and cash prizes worth RS. 1,00,000/-, RS. 50,000/- and RS. 30,000/- for first, second and third positions respectively. Apart from this, a lot of audience prizes like iPod’s, Tablets, Digital camera, t-shirts, pen-drives, backpacks, watches etc. were also given.
Late Debasish Das was a B.Tech from JITM Paralakhemundi with an MBA degree from IIT Kharagpur. An epitome of positive energy, his love for life was unmatched till the fateful day when his journey of the mortal world was cut short by a fatal road accident. It was his thought to organize an IT quiz in Odisha of this scale.
