Death toll in lightning strikes reaches 12 in Odisha today

ONI Bureau:  At least 12 persons were killed and four others got injured by the deadly lightning strikes in different parts of the state on Friday.

Sources said the deaths were reported from Balasore, Mayurbhanj and Khurda districts.

While seven persons were killed in Balasore due to lightning, four deaths were reported from Khurda and one from Mayurbhanj districts respectively.

Meanwhile, Met officials predicted heavy rainfall across Odisha during the next 48 hours across the state. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into sea during next 48 hours.
