Devotees throng Shiva Temples in Odisha on Maha Shivaratri

Thousands of devotees today thronged Shiva temples across Odisha on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri.

At the Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar, a large number of people were seen standing in a long queue to have  a darshan of the Lord Shiva.

Sources revealed that the Mahadeep of Lord Lingaraj will be placed atop the Lingaraj temple crown at around 10 pm.

In other parts of Odisha icluding Gupteswar (Koraput), Kapilas (Dhenkanal), Aradi (Bhadrak), Harishankar (Balangir), Dhabaleswar (Cuttack), Gokarneswar (Ganjam) and Sri Loknath (Puri) devotees offered pujas at shrines with religious fervour.
