DG of Police Sanjeev Marik goes on Five-Day Leave

Sanjeev MarikSanjeev Marik, Director General of Police, went on five-day leave on Wednesday. According to media, Marik had told that he taken leave to prepare for the Law examination scheduled on May 26. It is noteworthy, Central government has stopped funding for police modernization and Marik on April 30 press meet urged Centre to reconsider on the matter. He said that stopping fund for police modernization would hit the police force.

According to media, his sudden decision to go on five-day leave could be linked to the issue of funding for police modernization and his statement over the central government. The Chief Minister also told that the statement made by Marik would be reviewed by the state government.
