Dharmendra Pradhan distributes LPG connections at Pallahara

The Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday launched Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) at Pallahara in Angul District of Odisha.

On this occasion, Dharmendra Pradhan distributed 1,500 LPG connections to the BPL women under PMUY scheme.

Speaking on the occasion, the P&NG Minister said, “Under PMUY, around 95 lakhs LPG connections have been distributed to poor people in various parts of the country, of which around 5 lakhs connections in Odisha including 25 thousand in Angul district and 4,000 in Pallahara subdivision.”

Very soon, 90 per cent of the poor people in Odisha will be benefitted by this PMUY scheme, Pradhan added.

The Minister also interacted with the beneficiaries of PM Ujjwala Yojana who were issued with new LPG connections at Pallahara.

Officials of leading Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies, including Bharat Petroleum, Indian Oil Corporation & Hindustan Petroleum Corporation were also present on the occasion.
