Dharmendra urges Odisha CM to allot land for IOCL’s Bhadrak Textile project

ONI Bureau:  Union Petroleum & Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has urged to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to allot 75 acres of land in Bhadrak for IndianOil’s dream textile project for manufacturing polyester yarn.

In his letter to Naveen, Dharmendra mentioned that the Bhadrak Textile Project was initiated by IndianOil through an MoU signed in presence of Sashibhushan Behera, Finance Minister, Govt of Odisha and Prafullo Samal, Minister for MSME, Govt of Odisha and the Union Minister on 16.11.2017 to develop the Project.

The letter further stated, “Several downstream units for yarn, fabric processing for apparels would be coming up subsequently in the surrounding area with an estimated investment of more than Rs. 2,500 crore and has the potential to generate 25,000-30,000 jobs”.

“I am given to understand that the requisite land allocation for the textile project is on hold for non-availability of approval of the textile project from competent authority of Odisha Government,” said Pradhan.

Therefore the Union Minister requested the Chief Minister to personally intervene and direct the concerned State Government authorities for allotting 75 acres of land at Bhadrak for dream textile project.
