Dist Administration demolishes illegal toilets construction at CRZ Puri Sea Beach

ONI Bureau: After the Puri district administration got information about the illegal toilet construction works at the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) Puri sea beach, the administration started a demolition drive on Monday at the construction site along the sea beach ahead of the annual Ratha Jatra.

Those concrete toilets were constructed on backside of Gandhi Memorial Peeth and Raj Bhawan Puri Beach alongside a 2000-feet long make shift structure that is being put up to accommodate different stalls ahead of the upcoming Ratha Jatra.

The illegal construction work on the Puri sea beach flouting the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) norms that prohibit the construction of any permanent structure within at least 500 meters from the sea coast.
