DRDO Cameraperson Ishwar Chandra Behera Gets Lifer In Espionage Case

Former DRDO cameraperson Ishwar Chandra Behera was sentenced for life imprisonment in an espionage case. The sentence was pronounced by the Additional District Judge.

The Court convicted Ishwar Chandra Behera of passing confidential information of Chandipur ITR to ISI.

Behera was arrested in January 2015 and was convicted under Sections 121A (treason) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC, and 3, 4 and 5 of the Official Secrets Act.
