DRDO Successfully Test Fires MR-SAM off Odisha coast

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), on Wednesday, successfully conducted the trial of Medium Range Surface to Air Missile (MR-SAM) off Odisha coast. The Test was conducted at 3.55pm from Chandipur ITR Launch pad 3.

The trials are likely to continue till December 25. For safety purpose, villagers living in the 2.5 km radius of the launch pad have been shifted to safer places.

The people temporarily rehabilitated, will be compensated.
