Durga Puja in Cuttack Without Devotees This Year

The Durga Puja celebrations in Cuttack city will be held without the presence of devotees this year. Though the administration allowed the puja committees to hold celebrations, devotees will not be allowed due to COVID-19 pandemic.

A detailed information in this regard will be released by the state government soon.

The puja committees have been asked to adhere by the COVID-19 guidelines while conducting the Puja. A total of 155 puja committees will be holding the Durga Puja celebration in Cuttack. On Tuesday, the authorities had decided against public celebration of Durga Puja.

A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was also filed by the Balu Bazaar Puja Committee seeking approval for conducting Durga Puja in the city.
