EC appoints Surendra Kumar as Chief Electoral Officer of Odisha

ONI Bureau:  Ahead of the upcoming by-election at the Bijepur Assembly constituency in Bargarh district scheduled on February 24, the Election Commission (EC) of India on Wednesday appointed Surendra Kumar as the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Odisha.

Surendra Kumar is a senior IAS officer of 1993 batch is currently serving as the principal secretary, ST and SC Welfare department and principal secretary of Information & Public Relation (I&PR) department.
