ED attaches nearly Rs 245 crore assets of Balasore Alloys Ltd

ONI Bureau: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday attached asset worth Rs 244.89 crore of M/s Balasore Alloys Ltd, Odisha under Prevention of Money Laundering (PMLA) Act, 2002.

The agency seized Balasore Alloys’s property in which Global Steel Holding Ltd (GSHL) and its chairman Pramod Kumar Mittal are holding 30.35% share through various Indian and foreign investment companies.

The ED filed a money laundering case against Mittal, GSHL and State Trading Corporation (STC) officials on March 29 earlier, following an FIR registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on March 16.
