Egg Attack at CM: Attempt to Murder Charges Dropped

ONI Bureau: The Odisha Police on Monday dropped attempt to murder charges against Rajeswari Kamila, who allegedly hurled eggs at Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik during Talsari beach festival in Balasore.

Police now registered a case  under section 353, 332 & 506 of IPC against the BJP supporter, informed Balasore SP Niti Sekhar.

Reportedly, a local court in Jaleswar on Saturday sent the accused to judicial custody till February 8 on charges of attempt to murder (Section-307 of IPC). However, she has admitted to Balasore Hospital today after her health condition deteriorates in Jaleswar Jail and later shifted to SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack.
